Car Communications Ltd (T/a: Dension) asks you, its customer to supply various personal information when creating an account, placing an order and while contacting us or asking about a question or enquiring about our products or services.

We use this information only for the purpose of filling out orders, communicating with you regarding orders. We will use to pass your details to our sub-contractor/engineers who will fulfil your orders (e.g. fitting Bluetooth car kit or any other equipment as per your order). We treat your information as private and confidential and we will not disclose this information to other individuals or companies. We will not distribute your information to be used in mailing lists, surveys, or for any other purpose outside Car Communications. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers' personal information.

We're giving you this information as part of our initiative to comply with recent legislation, and to make sure we're honest and clear about your privacy when using our website.

Collecting Information

We may collect Personal Data about you from a number of sources, including the following:

1. From you when you agree to take a service or product from us, in which case this may include your contact details (name, postal address, email address, contact telephone numbers), car registration/make/model, how you will pay for the product or service.
2. From you when you contact us with an enquiry (using contact us form, Q&A form) or in response to a communication from us, in which case, this may tell us something about how you use our services.

Using Your Personal Information

Personal Data about our customers is an important part of our business and we shall only use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

1. To help us to identify accounts, services and/or products which you have had from us from time to time for a required period of time, (returns, complaints procedure etc); this may be to provide goods and services and to manage your retail account including administering payments, returns and responding to queries.
2. We may use personal data while completing your order you have provided and/or any information we hold about you to fulfil our contract and to assess whether to enter into a contract with you.
3. We may have to a share personal information to a trusted third party (such as delivery company or a service engineer).
4. We may monitor and record communications with you (including phone conversations and emails) for quality assurance and compliance.

Protecting Information

We have rigid security measures to protect Personal Data.

1. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
2. We do not collect or store your credit/debit card details as all payments gone through third party payment processor, named PayPal and SagePay.

Correcting Your Information

You can access your information and make changes at any time by logging in to your account using the username and password you selected when you first signed up. If you didn't create an account, please call customer service to make any changes.

 

Data Retention

All data will be stored electronically on a web server and some of data will be stored on a local database. All your data will be kept for 7 years for legal requirements and it will be deleted/shredded afterwards.
